As a man living in a world in which true beauty is distorted, I have to fight to maintain a perspective of what true beauty really is. Before I gave my life to Jesus I had a tainted perspective of what true beauty really was. This perspective that I had was based on natural traits and had nothing to do with spiritual characteristics such as "virtuousness" and being "Christ-like". True beauty has to be based on a wholistic perspective. True beauty is lasting and not temporary. As a man I have to realize that if I seek after beauty that is only temporary that I will never truly get what God has for me. I realize now that if I was not saved that I would not be able to identify what true beauty really was. I heard an artist say that "our true beauty stems from being rooted in Him"(Jesus). Before I gave my life to Christ, no matter how attractive I thought someone was there was always someone else that could catch my attention. When we experience true beauty through the eyes of Christ this beauty should be enough to retain our attention. When God presents a spouse to you there should be enough beauty in them that your attention is focused on them and not on multiple objects of distorted beauty. Ask yourself these 2 question "If you have found true beauty than why is there a need to seek for more? Have you found Christ Jesus?

Well put Scott. True beauty is rooted in Jesus. When we see through the eyes of Christ...we are able to see clearly.
Amen! Amen! Amen!
Scott I absolutely love this, I want for more people to see this for their ways are so tainted in this world of false hope they fail to realize that God is already taken care of them, the world in "us" wants for more and not for what we have before our eyes, I constantly preach this same thing, why want for more when there is what you want in front of you...sometimes I rather be alone and want for nothing than to continually try to convince others that when I'm in front of them they don't need no more, because I too believe and the father and know that God never fails, however God's teaching me to not settle and I need to learn to listen and follow his words.
So wisely put love I do like this site you are working for a greater boss not like any other continue to serve God with all your heart this site has touched me with your passion and perspective I thank you for sharing it with me.

Worldly desires and the constant reminders in society's eyes only focus on the physical beauty. But God has given us the discernment to really "see" a person for who they really are. That is why we should all seek GOD first!
Beautiful, Scott. I believe God has given you a spectacular gift for putting his precepts in today's language. There is nothing like God's word. It sustains us and empowers us to live. People all over the world need to hear these simple messages. Beauty through the eyes of purity is powerful.
